Der 12-jährige The Balvenie American Oak - Sweet Toast ist Teil der neuen Reihe 'Balvenie Stories'. Die Geschichte dieses Whiskys handelt von Malt-Master-Lehrling Kelsey McKechnie. Sie wollte einen fruchtigen und süßen Balvenie Single Malt herstellen. Dafür importierte sie frische Weißeichenfässer aus Kentucky, die anschließend zweifach getoastet und mit Balvenie aus Ex-Bourbonfässern befüllt wurden. Das Ergebnis ist ein komplexer Whisky mit Noten von kandierten Früchten und Vanille.
